Senior Commodity Quantitative Valuations and Structurer-Birmingham-West Midlands
Salary CompetitiveThis Leading Commercial Energy house are looking for a senior and talented individual to join the team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for both the provision of structuring and valuation input into the management of complex supply and export contracts and the development of risk models for the business. The role will entail modelling and bespoke valuation of pricing, hedging and forecasting of the key complex market and system balancing risks facing the business, both on a portfolio wide and customer specific basis. The team are looking for a experienced individual who will be able to come on and make an impact from day one, you will be expected to take on management responsibilities from very early one.Key skills and requirements:-First degree or equivalent, preference for a higher degree (Finance/Maths/Engineering)-Must be able to demonstrate strong economic, market and financial analytical skills.-Management experience preferable-Good programming skills: Excel, VBA, C++, Matlab, Statistical packages-Have excellent theoretical knowledge of derivative instruments and practical experience in their applications and behaviour. In depth understanding of valuation and risk analysis methods.-Problem solver and must be results orientated; able to meet deadlines and able to happily work closely with senior management on a regular basisThe person:-Candidate would need strong analytical skill.-Highly numerate problem solver, good spreadsheet and systems skills.
